Sharpe James Convicted! Anne Milgram Deluded!

April 28, 2008 at 10:49 A.M. I was in the middle of working on some essays at Critique, when I was obstructed in my access to the site. Numerous essays have been vandalized again. I will make corrections soon. The updating feature of my security system has been blocked by a hacker. I will run scans throughout the day in an attempt to restore it. I am blocking:

Calls from:

718-358-0900 (Time Warner -- I love the new building!)

See my new essay "Mafia Involvement in New Jersey Law and Politics." I will do my best for the rest of the day to return to my group.

April 27, 2008 at 9:59 P.M. I was obstructed, once again, when I was struggling to correct some "errors" inserted in an essay that I had posted earlier today. I will continue to struggle to return to my msn group. Sometimes, I can access the group for ten minutes at a time. During the periods of time when I am unable to access the site, new or the same "errors" are reinserted in essays that I have previously corrected. "The purpose of torture," George Orwell writes, "is torture." I am blocking:

April 27, 2008 at 6:54 P.M. I am again unable to access my MSN group. Any damage inflicted on my writings will be repaired as soon as possible. I will continue to struggle to regain access to those essays.

April 27, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. Surprisingly, more obstructions to Internet use make writing difficult. I am blocking:

April 25, 2008 at 11:55 A.M. after about forty minutes of effort, it is very clear to me that I will be unable to write at Critique today. However, I was able to change the image. I will struggle throughout the day to get back to my group and correct whatever damage is inserted (or reinserted) in essays.

I am periodically obstructed and prevented from accessing the site, prevented from posting. I expect additional vandalism and defacements of essays and short stories. I will continue to write somehow and somewhere. This usually means that new indictments are about to be handed down in New Jersey. It's about time!

April 24, 2008 at 6:39 P.M. My cable signal was just blocked. I am, once again, unable to access Critique. I will spend the rest of the day trying to get back to my group.

April 23, 2008 at 4:49 P.M. I was just obstructed from accessing my group. This means that new "errors" and other vandalism of my essays will take place. If and when I am able to regain access to Critique, I will do my best to make the necessary corrections. I understand that new indictments of prominent New Jersey politicians are about to become public. What a coincidence? I am blocking:

Work on an essay in the drafts section of my home computer has been delayed by various insertions of "errors." However, I will continue to struggle to make progress on that work, every day.

April 20, 2008 at 4:32 P.M. I am unable to access my MSN group. I will be working on more judicial profiles and essays examining the N.J. legal system. I will focus in future essays on the law practices of politicians in the Garden State as well as other poltical scandals. I will continue to try to regain access to my MSN account throughout the day, then I will struggle every day until I am able to do so in order to continue my work, either at this computer or at a public computer. Any "errors" inserted in my essays during this period will be corrected as soon as possible.

"Ex-Newark Mayor Guilty Of Corruption, Mail Fraud," http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24159959/print/1/displaymode/1098/ April 17, 2008

I was forced to restart my computer after my security system was disabled by hackers. I will try to repair damage inserted in these essays while this site was unavailable, which was at about 2:00 P.M. on April 17, 2008. I am blocking:

http://m1.2mdn.net/viewad/1361549158-DL_1x1_tr... (NJ)

"NEWARK, NJ -- Former Mayor Sharpe James and his ex-mistress were convicted Wednesday on corruption charges centered on her cut-rate purchase of city land."

"The verdicts were a stunning rebuke to James, who was mayor of the state's largest city for 20 years until 2006 and took credit for redevelopment that included a pro hockey arena that opened in the fall." [sic.]

I was astonished to learn that:

"New Jersey Attorney General Anne Milgram, whose office investigated and prosecuted the case with federal authorities, said the verdict showed the jury rejected 'the cancerous form of government that Sharpe James presided over.' ..."

Surely, the "cancerous form government" over which Mr. James presided was investigated and prosecuted by the feds. I am under the impression -- and so is the U.S. Attorney for New Jersey, Christopher J. Christie, who was also astonished by this statement! -- that the U.S. Attorney's Office is EXCLUSIVELY responsible for prosecuting matters in federal court.

Ms. Milgram, apparently, wishes to convey the impression that she is doing something about these crimes and corruption that have come to define her state (and her office). It seems that Milgram stepped before the microphones and cameras as Mr. Christie was taking a bow. Nice move, Anne.

The New Jersey Attorney General would not prosecute N.J. political corruption if her life depended on it. Otherwise, if she locks up crooked politicians, who will make Anne Milgram a judge? Who indeed. Undaunted, Mr. Christie -- shoving Anne Milgram out of the way of the cameras -- positioned himself, smiled (fetchingly), and stated humbly and sincerely:

"This is a guy who believed the property of the people of the city of Newark was property he could feel free to give away to pay off his girlfriend."

Women. The things a guy has to do.

"There is no other conclusion you could reach, after this jury verdict, that Tamika Riley was a kept woman and that she was kept by the money and property of the people of Newark."

Horror and shock. I am dismayed and distraught. And how! Senator Bob said, "See you later."

Mr. James is looking at twenty years max on each conviction. Ms. Riley is also facing substantial time. The unindicted crooks in N.J. politics ("on the one hand, but on the other hand") should get exactly the same penalty -- or worse. As for Ms. Milgram and her minions, they never saw a microphone they didn't like. Mr. Christie should bring elbow pads to the next press conference.

More Lethal Poisons Found in New Jersey!

"Three Artificial Turf Fields Shut Down Due to Lead Levels," http://www.MSNBC.com/id/24115686 April 15, 2008
Attempts to print items from my computer, including this article, leave me with a blank page bearing this address:
http://ad.doublick.net/adi/N3285.msn_cusa/B2343920.61;sz=300x250;ord=1929529606? (Cuban American National Foundation?)

"TRENTON, N.J. -- A New Jersey sports field was closed Monday after tests of its artificial turf turned up unsafe levels of lead. It's the second time since December that a ballfield in the state has been closed over concerns about elevated levels [of lead and other poisons] found in turf fibers." (emphasis added)

Hudson County and most urban areas of New Jersey are saturated with life-threatening chemical poisons and carcinogens making the state's real name "cancer alley." As a result of decades of corruption and illegal dumping of dangerous chemicals by, allegedly, mafia-owned waste removal companies and carriers, the residents of the ironically nicknamed "Garden State," have been endangered or even killed.

No wonder they don't want you to read these writings. (See "Law and Ethics in the Soprano State" and "Jaynee LaVecchia and Conduct Unbecoming to the Judiciary in New Jersey.")

Ms. LaVecchia strenuously denies any affiliation with the Gambinos, allegedly. How about the Luchese family? Environmental protection laws in New Jersey have become another politicians' lie, along with most of the state's fraudulent institutions -- especially those entrusted with protecting Constitutional rights, including rights to privacy and free speech. My essays were vandalized and defaced, yet again, overnight. I will struggle to make the necessary corrections. April 15, 2008 at 12:14 P.M.

Hudson County's older gas stations, for instance, are often in violation of state environmental protection laws. Seepage of petrochemical products is not unusual. Illegally dumped chemicals and other waste is rumored to contaminate the territory not far from Giants' Stadium, in Secaucus and parts of North Bergen. The authorities will neither confirm nor deny the validity of these allegations, while Weehawken's lovely views of the Manhattan skyline are seen from territory reportedly poisoned by chromium and other buried industrial pollutants. Every day residents are diagnosed with forms of cancer linked to exposure to these poisons.

Efforts to persuade N.J. politicians to pause from their busy schedules of thievery in order to protect the public have been met with derision and indifference. Meanwhile, more persons are diagnosed with "pancreatric cancer" -- to mention only one example -- and other illnesses directly linked to prolonged exposure to such chemicals. (See "Senator Bob, the Babe, and the Big Bucks.")

If you are one of the persons diagnosed with these often fatal illnesses, then you can thank New Jersey's political mafia for killing you and bringing suffering to your loved-ones, in addition to stealing your money. Hey, isn't that kind of thing "unethical"?

"Hoboken attorney Steven Kleinman said the city shut the playing field at Frank Sinatra Park after the tests by state officials found lead levels far exceeding the Environmental Protection Agency's allowable concentration of the metal."

Inspectors are, allegedly, routinely, BRIBED. The bribe money flows back up to the bosses and underbosses who look the other way as the lives of residents -- including their own relatives -- are further endangered. In addition to unprecedented levels of theft of public funds, sexual bribery of judges and other officials, incompetence in courts and state agencies, there is a lethal surprise awaiting anyone unfortunate enough to find him- or herself living in these marshy territories of partly decomposed bodies and moral as well as industrial rot. (See "One of New Jersey's Highly Ethical Attorneys Has a Problem" and "New Jersey's Legal System is a Whore House.")

How is everyone at the feces-covered Brennan Courthouse? Everything peachy-keen?

Cancer and Chromium Poisoning Results From N.J. Corruption.

Spacing may be affected in this essay. "Errors" may be inserted at any time. I will be running scans all day after new attacks against my computer. April 12, 2008 at 7:52 P.M.

Bob Ingle & Sandy McClure, The Soprano State: New Jersey's Culture of Corruption (New York: St. Martin's, 2008).
Laura Masnerus, "Development on a Toxic Site Draws Scrutiny in New Jersey," in The New York Times, October 2, 2006, at B1.

"WEEHAWKEN, N.J., Sept. 26 -- Hadsome new townhouses selling for more than $2 MILLION hug the waterfront here, and more are on the way. On a curve in the river that offers spectacular views of Manhattan and New York Harbor, earthmovers are at work on a public park."

"But in the view of some environmentalists, the development on this immensely valuable sliver of shoreline is an experiment of sorts because of what lies beneath it: dirt spotted with hexavalent chromium, a manufacturing component that has been identified as a cause of lung cancer, liver and kidney damage and mutilations to human DNA."

"Hudson County is the nation's chromium-waste center, with almost 200 sites where it [chromium] was dumped decades ago."

How is it possible that all of the agencies of N.J. state government failed to protect citizens from this public health hazzard? Where were the people's elected officials? Judges? Mercury in state schools may cause illnesses to children in south Jersey, while contaminants in a Paramus school were allowed to fester, despite the awareness of the authorities. Who will explain to the parents of sick and dying children why nothing was done? How many N.J. officials and inspectors have been bribed, once again, to look the other way as this atrocity was allowed to take place? Do you speak to me of ethics? All you gotta do is get some women for Debbie? A few dollars for Stuart? And the sky's the limit, right boys?

In Newark, massive containers have been placed in public housing projects without explanations. Why is the safety or need for air and open spaces of African-American children dispensable? What is in those containers? Why do people not want them in the suburbs? I suggest that we place them, as sculptures, inside the New Jersey Supreme Court building.

"The state and local authorities have approved everything the developer, Roseland Properties has done, and they say the clean-up has far exceeded their standards."

I bet they do. I wonder why these approvals have been so easily obtained? Have state officials been receiving Broadway tickets and free dinners? Is this merely about cold hard cash? Inquiring minds want to know.

Is New Jersey's Office of Attorney Ethics (OAE) looking into representations made by attorneys on behalf of proponents of this development project? EnCap Golf? Meadowlands Scandal? Xanadu? How much is enough for you? (See "More From New Jersey's Tainted Legal Profession.")

The walking turds at the OAE are so paid-off or stupid that, unless you are causing trouble for the mob in New Jersey, they have no interest in your activities. Hey, any chance I can get that discovery -- all the stuff you left out last time -- including Tuchin's "reports"? How much do you need to take care of that for me?

After all, if representations made "on the record" that it is "safe" to develop properties for luxury residential use are false -- and known to be false -- when made by attorneys, on behalf of developers, then human lives may be endangered from all of the hidden health risks. If attorneys reasonably should have known that their claims that everything is hunky-dory in buidling materials or industrial waste happened to be false as they made them, then they must share some of this liability. Where is the OAE? DRB? AG? Go ahead, insert some "errors" in these essays. I'll keep correcting them. Has spacing been affected again?

It seems clear now that carcinogens are buried under the foundations of people's homes, from Jersey City to North Bergen. I think that such law firm falsehoods, if any, are unethical. Don't you? I wonder why no one cares? The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection:

"... ALLOWED the waterfront project to proceed even though various environmental groups and some scientists in the state agency contend that in residential areas, a [dirt] cap can never be protective enough."

I wonder why this was deemed "totally awesome"? Residents of these fancy new homes have a little surprise coming their way. (See "Deborah T. Poritz and Conduct Unbecoming to the Judiciary" and "Law and Ethics in the Soprano State.")

What will OAE officials or New Jersey's contaminated Supreme Court say to people with brain cancers? "On the one hand, but on the other hand ..." If your loved-one dies of cancer will it be O.K. that somebody was paid off at the OAE?

"Several other agency scientists" -- these are the supposed state regulators! -- "speaking on condition of anonymity because they FEARED RETRIBUTION, said that the Department of Environmental Protection had bent to political pressure to speed [so-called] cleanups."

No, you don't say? New Jersey's corrupt politics affects decisions bearing on public safety? I am shocked. How could that be true? It would mean that New Jersey politicians, lawyers -- and even judges -- are corrupt and do not care about the lives of residents in New Jersey. Do you believe that the opinions of such people concerning my ethics means anything? I don't give a shit what any of these assholes thinks of me or anyone else.

Is it possible that, in a state so seemingly "concerned" about whether public officials wore a safety belt in their cars or have ever received a traffic ticket, such vile and loathsome evil passes for governmental action in the public interest? Where's the New Jersey Supreme Court? Where is the state's Attorney General, Anne Milgram? Chief Justice Stuart Rabner? Where is U.S. Senator Robert ("BobbyM") Menendez? How can law enforcement and other officials be AFRAID of the alleged wrongdoers? I'm not.

"On the one hand, but on the other hand ..." Senator Bob said and added: "I am for all the people." I hope that none of you (or your loved-ones) will become sick because of this digusting corruption and incompetence in N.J.'s courtrooms and politics. That corruption should make you sick. You're better off if they just steal your tax money.

Guttenberg Mayor on His Way to the Slammer!

The true number of visitors to this blog or my books' sites is not known. I cannot post images here or at my profile because of obstacles of many kinds. "Errors" will be inserted in these essays numerous times, corrections will be made, then the "errors" will be reinserted. (See "What is it like to be tortured?") April 10, 2008 at 3:59 P.M. calls from 702-520-1195. A lot of telemarketers lately. April 10, 2008 at 4:31 P.M. 610-915-5214.

Jonathan Miller, "Corzine Aide Testifies Against a Former Friend," in The New York Times, April 5, 2008, at p. B2.

"NEWARK -- Javier Inclan, a deputy chief of staff to Gov. Jon S. Corzine, came to Federal District Court here on Friday to testify against former friend and ally, Mayor David Delle Donna of Guttenberg, N.J., who is charged with extorting money from a bar owner accused of trafficking in illegal immigrant girls."

Guttenberg, New Jersey has the distinction (or it did) of having the largest number of taverns per square mile of any town in America. Being in Hudson County, Guttenberg also has plenty of crooked politicians -- politicians who are not capable of friendship or loyalty to anyone. In fairness, I must say the Municipal Court was the best in Hudson County. The town was a three dollar bill by reputation, everything was for sale -- especially, elected officials -- and most appointed town officials were said to be crooked. The Guttenberg Municipal Prosecutor sure wasn't crooked. (See "We don't know from nothing.")

"But Mr. Inclan, who over the last decade rose from an obscure seat on the school board" -- like Senator Bob in Union City? -- "in a small Hudson County town to gain the ear of the state's chief executive, found himself instead on the defensive about his own role in the bribery scheme while serving as a treasurer of Mr. Delle Donna's campaign."

Bribes are usually delivered by "buffers," middle-men the mob can disown when the shit hits the courthouse steps.

"... 'I can tell you with 100 percent certainty that I never pocketed any cash,' Mr. Inclan, who has not been charged with a crime, testified angrily when confronted by Mr. Delle Donna's defense lawyer Ralph Lamparello."

Mr. Lamparello is a good defense lawyer using the old "some other dude done it" or "put it on the delivery man" defenses. What else is he going to do?

One of the best trial lawyers I knew in New Jersey, against whom I tried a criminal case and lost, is Libero Marotta. I learned a great deal in that matter and have the utmost respect for Mr. Marotta and his office partner Mr. Schulman. I would say the same of a gentleman who must be retired by now, Harold Okin. Mr. Okin was one of the toughest and smartest lawyers I came accross in the federal system during my years in practice. There are many other individuals who are honest and excellent lawyers, like Larry Levin in Jersey City and Sam De Luca. There are also some outstanding judges in New Jersey. However, the problems of corruption and mob influence have become pervasive and system-wide in New Jersey's legal system. These cancers may require outside assistance for removal.

"... Lamparello accused Mr. Inclan ... of pocketing an envelope containing $3,000 in cash from the bar owner, Luisa Medrano."

Reality check, people. What was the bribe for? To get cosmetic surgery for Mrs. Mayor and "cooperation" from town authorities in connection with certain requests from this Medrano person. It appears that: a) Mrs. Mayor got her cosmetic surgery (how much the surgery helped is unclear); and b) Medrano got the cooperation of the authorities in Guttenberg with her permits and certificates to proceed with her alleged nefarious activities. Medrano has entered a guilty plea to some reduced charges.

"Elementary, my dear Watson." My inference is that the money clearly got where it was supposed to get -- and it wouldn't be some up-and-coming Latino politician's pocket -- but into the account of the person calling the shots in New Jersey's favorite "midget municipality," Guttenberg.

There's a big apartment building in that town called "The Galaxy," with a great restaurant for brunch on the weekends: "The Green Kitchen." A couple of Arab guys, who had lived in Venezuela and spoke excellent Spanish, owned a Deli downstairs and we discussed politics sometimes. Boy, the stories I'd hear from those guys. Make your hair stand on end. Thanks for the free figs, guys. (Yes, I made sure to list "free figs" on my tax returns.) Telly Savalas was said to live in the Galaxy. Kojak, you remember him -- "Who loves ya, baby? ..."

Hudson County is a pimp's paradise, mob guys, drug dealers -- all bump into each other on their way to political offices so corrupt and inept that the chromium deposits and other deadly pollutants, a legacy of years of failures in the public agencies that should protect citizens, are killing people in droves. Ethics? You gotta be kidding me. (Hey, a new "error" appeared in this paragraph since yesterday!)

New Jersey's politics and legal system should make you even sicker than the poisons in the ground. Let's see all the attacks on my computer after I post this. Sunday, April 6, 2008 was marred by a number of computer attacks and defacements of essays. I will struggle to make corrections, while devoting more posts to New Jersey's politics and legal profession. Profiles of more judges, leading politicians, lawyers, business people and activities are coming up.
