No Charges for N.J. Lawmaker With Child Porn!

Due to all the computer harassment today, I may be unable to post new items and essays may be vandalized, again. This usually means new indictments are forthcoming in New Jersey. At any time, damage to my computer may prevent me from writing. These essays may be destroyed. August 1, 2008 at 11:25 A.M. (See "Senator Bob, the Babe, and the Big Bucks" and "Does Senator Menendez Have Mafia Friends?" as well as "One of New Jersey's Highly Ethical Attorneys Has a Problem" and "New Jersey's Legal System is a Whore House.")

I am working on "George E. Norcross, III and New Jersey's Feces-Stained Politics" along with "Union City's Corrupt Municipal Government and Court." I look forward to many more years of focusing on corruption, incompetence and criminality in the New Jersey legal system. (See "Deborah T. Poritz and Conduct Unbecoming to the Judiciary in New Jersey" as well as "New Jersey's Feces-Covered Supreme Court.")

If damage to my computer prevents me from writing, I will make use of public computers for "hit and run" guerilla warfare against New Jersey's corrupt power-structure.

"Lawmaker Quits Amid Inquiry Over Photos," in The New York Times, July 29, 2008, at p. B5.

"MOUNT LAUREL, N.J. (AP) -- A New Jersey assemblyman, NEIL M. COHEN, resigned from the Legislature on Monday, four days after it was reported that he was suspected of possessing child pronography and that an investigation was under way."

Mr. Cohen specialized in matrimonial work where he contributed to decisions concerning the welfare of children and family law matters.

As of this writing, no legal ethics charges have been brought against this allegedly corrupt, child molesting attorney and former member of the "Ethics Committee" of the "New Jersey Bar Association" -- also allegedly. Mentioning "Ethics" and "New Jersey lawyers" in the same sentence may be a contradiction in terms.

What a heel-of-a-guy, good old Neil M. Cohen must be! Close as he can be to "Slim Jim" McGreevey (they say) and "Shyster Ray" Lesniak as well as "Slippery Joe" Cryan, but obnoxious and rude to underlings. It is true that planting child porn in someone's home is a time-tested technique of political revenge in New Jersey favored by the Hudson County machine and Senator Bob, allegedly.

Like cops who toss a handgun next to one of their African-American murder victims on the Turnpike, mafia guys get rid of rivals in the political world (or a rare honest professional) with behind-the-back-frame-ups. Mr. Cohen's questionable move in checking into a psychiatric facility and Cohen's proximity to the likes of Lesniak and Cryan suggest that Cohen is as guilty as sin -- allegedly, of course.

I wonder why New Jersey is so closely associated by law enforcement with child prostitution, child porn, mafia activities in government circles, along with a viciously corrupt and sold out judiciary?

Any more "errors" you want to insert in my writings? Do you speak to me of "ethics," Mr. Rabner? (See "Deborah T. Poritz and Conduct Unbecoming to the Judiciary in New Jersey" and "Law and Ethics in the Soprano State.")

"The clerk of the Assembly received a one sentence letter from Mr. Cohen just before 9:30 A.M. Monday. Mr. Cohen said his resignation was effective immediately, but did not offer any explanation."

Cohen is said to be aware of the activities of other prominent New Jersey officials sharing his alleged "proclivities," including members of the judiciary. Anne Milgram will neither confirm nor deny her prior "socializing" with Mr. Cohen or other members of New Jersey's Legislature. Does Ms. Milgram's share Mr. Cohen's tastes?

How chummy with the reportedly "short-eyed" Mr. Cohen are Stuart Rabner? Debbie Poritz? Sybil Moses? Terry Tuchin? Richard J. Codey? Roberto "Big Pappa" Menendez? We do not know. Debbie's alleged friendship with Diana is a little worrisome.

Three days of obstacles and harassments have accompanied my writing efforts. I will make certain to work today on my essays dealing with Mr. Norcross and the disgusting history of Union City's disappearing public funds.

Do you wish to block one of the images in my essays? It may be wiser to leave those philosophical essays alone. 12 essays vandalized (so far!), more warfare is coming.

"He has not been charged with a crime."

Why charge an alleged child molester with crimes when people who piss on the sidewalk are worthy of execution as a distraction from the sewer that is New Jersey's legal system? No reason. What the hell? Let's go out and spend some of the $300 MILLION scooped by Jaynee. (See again: "Law and Ethics in the Soprano State" and "New Jersey's 'Ethical' Legal System.")

"Colleagues who use the same legislative district office as Mr. Cohen, 57, a Democrat, said last week that they told law enforcement authorities about images of child pornography found on his computer."

Is it true that Cohen is threatening to expose judges in on the so-called "child porn scam"?

"Assemblyman Joseph Cryan, who shared a district office with Mr. Cohen, said the investigation began after a staff member in the Union Township office found a printout of a nude GIRL, possibly in her early teens OR YOUNGER."

I wonder whether the child was overweight? Mr. Cohen is said to be very weight conscious, sugesting to young women that they need to "lose weight." Cohen likes pre-teen "chicks," huh Diana? Is it true that you N.J. "people" supply child victims to "politicians' -- allegedly, for a small fee? It is a "real job" being a New Jersey Legislator, isn't it?

"Mr. Cryan and State Senator Raymond J. Lesniak said they referred the case to the state attorney general's office. Peter Aseltine, a spokesman for the attorney general said the office does not comment on whether it is investigating cases."

Allegations that the matter has been "fixed," either by Cohen or his friends Poritz and Rabner, are not confirmed.

"Mr. Cryan said that Mr. Cohen remained hospitalized for psychaitric treatment on Monday."

Gee, I wonder why it took so long for the Times to run this story, with an AP by-line no less? Favors for N.J. friends of Mr. Cohen?

"Mr. Cohen, a divorce lawyer, served in the Asembly in 1990 and 91' and continually since 1994."

N.J. Legislator and Deputy Speaker Busted for Child Porn!

July 29, 2008 at 6:39 P.M. I was in the midst of posting a movie review at Critique when hackers prevented me from accessing the site or knowing what has been done to my essay. I will keep trying throughout the day to get back to my msn group. What is "Doubleclick"?

July 27, 2008 at 11:23 A.M. hacks and other attacks on my computer have been intense over the past several days. I am always in danger of not being able to write again. I will attempt to run scans today. These essays may be destroyed at any time. I cannot post images at these blogs or at my profile. I do not know whether my books are still available nor how many persons have seen or read them. My daily writing experience is best described as a kind of warfare. Under the circumstances, I have decided to concentrate on more N.J. judges, political figures, prominent members of the bar along with more disgusting examples of criminality in Garden State legal circles for as long as I am able to write. Have a great day!

July 26, 2008 at 1:21 P.M. several scans are unable to update my system or back up files. Writing is very difficult under these circumstances. Damage to essays will be repaired as quickly as possible. I will continue to run scans throughout the day. More arrests are likely in New Jersey, very soon.

July 26, 2008 at 11:15 A.M. My computer has been subjected to so many attacks this morning that further attempts at writing are useless. My monitor was frozen a moment ago. I will attempt to run scans and try again tomorrow.

"Legislator Under Investigation for Child Porn," http://msnbc.msn.com/id/25841503/print/1/displaymode/1098/ (No coverage so far in the New York Times?)

Unfortunately, after what seems like hours of trying, I am unable to post new essays at my msn group, Critique. This is not unusual after the arrest of a N.J. legislator. I have reason to believe that many more such arrests are forthcoming. Hadcuffed officials will be seen during the next several weeks or months, including several very prominent political and legal figures in the Garden State, even as new health risks from uncontained N.J. pollution appear in people's lives.

Censorship efforts directed against me may be expected to intensify. Threats will not deter me. Has the spacing of paragraphs been affected in this essay?

New Jersey has been called the "child porn and prostitution center of America" because many persons in these repulsive industries enjoy the protection of corrupt law-makers and judges, together with the pervasive mafia control of law enforcement in N.J. (See "We don't know from nothing!" and "Judges Protect Child Molesters in Bayonne, New Jersey.")

All of this adds to New Jersey's fame for political corruption and leads to more theft of billions of dollars from the depleted public treasury. (See "Senator Bob, the Babe, and the Big Bucks," "Does Senator Menendez Have Mafia Friends?" and "New Jersey is the Home of the Living Dead" as well as "Mafia Influence in New Jersey Courts and Politics.")

"Veteran Democratic state Assemblyman Neil Cohen is being investigated for child pornography possession on his legislative office computer, according to four officials familiar with the situation." (emphasis added)

"It was two fellow Democrats who essentially turned in Cohen. News 4 New York has learned the seven-term assemblyman has been hospitalized under psychiatric observation Thursday night, after investigators seized computers from his office on Stuyvesant Avenue in Union." (Compare "New Jersey's 'Ethical' Legal System" with "Law and Ethics in the Soprano State.")

Thus far, mysteriously, there has been no extensive coverage of this incident in The New York Times. No articles devoted to the corruption explosion in the Garden State have appeared in the New Yorker. How curious? Not even Mr. Toobin -- an alleged Republican -- is interested in these fascinating developments. Toobin seems like a Democrat to me.

Forthcoming essays examining the behind-the-scenes activities of prominent persons in Hudson County may shed further light on this mystery. Also, a look at the befouled judicial selection and confirmation process in New Jersey is long overdue.

Anne Milgram is said to be "hoping" to focus attention on this legislator in order to distract or avoid an inquiry into the pervasiveness of New Jersey's general corruption with regard to child porn and prostitution activities. Mr. Cohen's complicity in these activities is widely believed to be only the tip of the iceberg. No comment is forthcoming from Trenton concerning rumored relationships between Diana Lisa Riccioli or other so-called forensic "therapists" (licensed?) and the exploitation of persons involved in creating loathsome child porn materials. Hypnosis is commonly used to make children "amenable" to abuse. Right, Diana? (See again: "We don't know from nothing!")

The criminal investigation of Mr. Cohen and "friends," if any, including an on-going federal inquiry (allegedly), is unresolved as of this writing.

"... At least one computer used in this collecting of child porn was assigned to [Mr. Cohen] as part of his work in the legislature." No indication (so far) concerning the role, if any, of Senator Robert a.k.a. "Bob" a.k.a. "Roberto" Menendez (how's the babe, "BobbyM"?) in these unfortunate events. Nothing much happens in New Jersey without BobbyM "dipping his wick."

Your tax dollars are used to finance computer crime, including censorship efforts and child porn, perhaps, even cyberstalking. How do you like that?

There is also no word available, at this time, concerning the outcome of grand jury investigations (there are several) into the activities of Senator Robert "BobbyM" Menendez. This delay is usually an indication that a federal indictment is forthcoming. "Errors" have already been inserted in this essay, then corrected by me. Keep your eyes on further efforts to destroy these works.

It is also not known whether those activities and that notorious federal office holder may be related to these distressing developments concerning more New Jersey corruption right in "Boss Bob's" backyard.

A forthcoming essay focusing on Union City's Municipal Court and politics should make for fascinating reading. Did Senator Bob get to wet his beak in the Municipal Court's coffers? Inquiring minds want to know. Senator Robert, a.k.a. "Bob," a.k.a. "Roberto," a.k.a. "BobbyM," a.k.a. "Pappa" Menendez and friends continue to insist that they "are for all the people."

Numerous computer attacks make writing at my MSN group increasingly difficult today. What is "ATLAS"? Spacing may be affected in this essay which is always subject to attack by hackers in the land of the free and home of the brave. Phone call received from 062-231-2473 on July 25, 2008 at 1:08 P.M. "The outspoken liberal Roselle resident shares an office with State Senator Raymond ['Shyster Ray'] Lesniak and Assemblyman Joseph Cryan." [Known unaffectionately as 'Slippery Joe.']

Both New Jersey politicians -- from Gambino-controlled Union County? -- claimed to have been "surprised" (really?) to make these discoveries, despite knowing their ostensibly sexually bizarre colleague for decades. No comment concerning whether notifying the A.G. was a way to avoid a looming federal investigation by taking the issue to the state, where the boys can pull strings for their buddy while covering their own asses.

Assemblyman and "made member" Neil Cohen. " ... served in the Assembly from 1990 to 1991 and from 1994 to present. He is currently a deputy speaker." (emphasis added)

No word at this time concerning a parallel federal investigation of the organizations involved in child porn and prostitution in New Jersey, allegedly enjoying state political protection. No wonder I am experiencing so many computer difficulties today.

Richard J. Codey, Speaker Roberts and Chief Justice Stuart Rabner indicated that they "do not speak English." All three men had "no comment."

"In 2001, Cohen sponsored a bill creating a computer hotline to report child pornography and other Internet crime." (Irony?)

No doubt Mr. Cohen served on the local Ethics Committee of the New Jersey Bar Association, presuming to comment on the ethics of those attorneys targeted for destruction for not "playing ball" with Trenton's politicians/mafia figures.

Do you speak to me of ethics, boys and girls?

This is further evidence of hypocrisy and disgusting criminality in the centers of power of the fetid Garden State.

More follow-up stories and profiles of leading members of New Jersey's legal and judicial as well as political circles are coming up. Next is "George E. Norcross, III and New Jersey's Feces-Stained Politics and Law." Several members of the bar no doubt will happily offer any assistance that I may require in writing that one. I wonder why? Is good old George not universally loved?

It is not disclosed whether Mr. Cohen is a friend of N.J.'s shady forensic specialist, Dr. Terry Tuchin (who likes the young ladies, perhaps!) and who is said to be looking at apartments in Jerusalem. Skipping town, Terry?

Corrupt New Jersey Prosecutors and Bribed Judges Let Rapists Slide!

July 24, 2008 at 1:10 P.M. My security system warns me, in red type, that "I am not secure!" New risks to my system cannot be removed. They will have to be removed "manually." However, all efforts to do so are unsuccessful. I will try to re-boot or re-start my computer.

July 21, 2008 at 10:33 P.M. I was just obstructed in efforts to access Critique. This usually means that new "errors" have been inserted in my essays. I will struggle to make all necessary corrections and begin work on "George E. Norcross, III and New Jersey Law," then "Fun and Games in Union City, New Jersey. " What is "cb3"?

July 21, 2008 at 9:01 A.M. Two "anonymous" calls so far, some obstructions this morning. It is too soon to tell how much damage has been done to essays at Critique or at these blogs. Image posting is still blocked.

July 20, 2008 at 1:24 P.M. After what seems like hours, once again, I am unable to access my MSN group, where essays have probably been vandalized and altered overnight. I cannot say when I will be able to return to my site in order to continue writing. Shockingly, New Jersey government computers have been used, it seems, to pursue censorship policies and criminal violations of civil rights to the indifference of the authorities in that jurisdiction. I will continue to struggle to reach my group and write again. (See "Law and Ethics in the Soprano State" and "New Jersey's 'Ethical' Legal System.")

July 20, 2008 at 9:56 P.M. new "errors" were inserted in several essays. I will try to make the same corrections again.

"No Charges For 7 Troopers In Rape Inquiry," in The New York Times, July 18, 2008, at p. B8.
Bill Sanderson & Brigitte Williams-James, "Suicide Tie-In to 'Sex' Dormmates," in The New York Post, July 12, 2008, at p. 7.

"TRENTON (AP) -- Seven troopers who were suspended after a woman claimed she had been raped at one of their homes will not be charged with a crime, a prosecutor said on Thursday."

I wonder whether any of these cops are related to Hoboken's Lt. Andriani, who was mysteriously exonerated by Hudson County Prosecutor Ed de Fazio? Rumors indicate that politicians made calls to the Hudson Prosecutor (Senator Bob?) offering a judgeship "down the line" if Mr. de Fazio "plays ball" now. Any truth to these rumors, Ed? How curious that images were blocked last night from several essays at Critique, after posting this essay critical of New Jersey's power structure?

"Stephanie Kurowsky, a spokeswoman for the Middlesex County prosecutor, said that the case had been closed, but would not comment further."

What happens to a victim of rape and torture who witnesses this farce? This young woman must live for the rest of her life with trauma -- trauma which never leaves a person -- knowing that those responsible are laughing at her attempts to achieve even a semblance of justice.

The proceedings against these state troopers in New Jersey were deliberately delayed, allegedly, by incautious remarks by a former prosecutor, who almost seemed to "wish" to get rid of the matter. Intimidated?

"Lawyers for the troopers" -- most of whom are politically active -- " said that the system had worked and that their clients had been cleared."

No, the troopers just weren't prosecuted in the most politically corrupt and mafia-saturated jurisdiction in the country. What's the rape of one more woman set against politically-connected cops? Nothing. Who cares about rape victims, male or female? New Jersey's Supreme Court sure doesn't give a shit.

"But it was not clear when and if the troopers, who have been suspended with pay for more than seven months, [nice!] will return to the state police."

Lawyers and other cops are afraid to speak out. I'm not! KKK, organized crime, "Lords of Discipline" -- all have been alleged to flourish in New Jersey's State Police, which was taken over by the feds not so long ago because of allegations of racial profiling, cruelty, generalized racism on the Turnpike and Parkway. Numerous incidents of abuse on N.J. highways by cops have been ignored for years by state authorities, like Stuart Rabner and Anne Milgram. Now rape by our boys in blue is being tolerated. This would not happen in New York.

"In December, a woman told the authorities that she had been raped by a group of troopers she had met at a Trenton nightclub. She claimed this occurred at Ewing Township home of one of the troopers."

I believe her.

"No formal charges were ever filed as investigators -- first from the Mercer County prosecutor's office, then from Middlesex County -- looked into the account."

"The woman's lawyer, Nat Dershowitz" -- I've met Nat Dershowitz, who spoke at my law school, I also met his famous brother Alan Dershowitz, who was kind enough to sign a copy of one of his books for me -- "said his client believed there was enough evidence to go ahead with charges against all the troopers."

Lawyers know the old saying: "They can indict a ham sandwich." In New Jersey, the ham sandwich just needs to know a politician and nothing happens. Bring a little cash for the assignment judge. (See "Maurice J. Gallipoli and Conduct Unbecoming to the Judiciary in New Jersey" and "Jaynee La Vecchia and Conduct Unbecoming to the Judiciary in New Jersey.")

"... 'The victim is extremely upset that the D.A.'s office [there's no D.A. in New Jersey, Nat!] is not going to present the case to the grand jury and is not going to prosecute the matter,' Mr. Dershowitz said. 'She feels she has been left without any justice.' ..."

Me too. Where are those reports, Terry? What's Diana up to with the "ladies"?

"... there had been delays in the investigation and ... his client had not been treated fairly. He also said it appeared that the case had been closed administratively, NOT with a grand jury's deciding that there was NOT evidence to prosecute." [Sic.]

Double negative? Is this an isolated incident of indifference to rape allegations in New Jersey or in the American legal system? Hardly. Such tragedies have been known to occur elsewhere, but only in New Jersey are the culprits police officers or corrupt officials, members of the bar and judiciary.

"Clueless cops botched a probe into a vicious gang rape at a suburban college after they were conned into believing that 19 year-old victim Megan Wright likely agreed to have sex, says a shocking lawsuit filed by the coed's mother. The young woman, distraught over the investigation and the fact that no one was brought to justice, later killed herself." (emphasis added)

What's the big deal? "Adjust," right Terry? 'Dem Guys, Geez ...

More New Jersey Guilty Pleas, Prostitution, Political Corruption.

Once again, efforts to write this morning have been frustrated by obstructions and denials of access to my site at MSN. I cannot change the image at my group or post a corrected version of an essay that was vandalized, once more, last night. Efforts to enlist the cooperation of the authorities in preventing these criminal actions are unsuccessful. I will run scans throughout the day. I will try every fifteen minutes to return to my work. I will begin again tomorrow. It will take a while for me to correct "errors" inserted in these essays.

Please do not remain passive to violations of human rights wherever you are. Keep fighting. I will do the same. July 17, 2008, at 12:23 P.M. I am still blocking:

http://view.atdmt.com/iview/msnnkhac001728x90xWBCBR00110msn/direct;wi.728;hi.90/01
(NJ, images cannot be posted at these blogs, attacks against these writings by hackers are always expected.)

All attempts to reach my MSN group have been unsuccessful this morning. I am obstructed at this time from accessing my site. Also, new "errors" and other vandalism have further damaged several of my writings. This may reflect new indictments of prominent politicians expected soon in New Jersey. I will struggle for the rest of the day to reach my group and continue working on my essays.

July 16, 2008 at 10:14 A.M. Profiles of George E. Norcross, III and several crooked judges in New Jersey are coming up.

Sharon Otterman, "Fourth Guilty Plea Arranged In Escort Ring Tied to Spitzer," in The New York Times, July 15, 2008, at p. B3.
"Union Head, A Friend Of Corzine Is Removed," in The New York Times, July 8, 2008, at p. 4.

"A holistic health counselor who worked as a part-time booker for the prostitution ring that ensnared former Governor Eliot Spitzer has verbally accepted a plea agreement and is expected to plead guilty next month to lighter charges than those faced by her fellow defendants, her lawyer said Monday."

What does "verbally accepted" mean? Did she accept a plea agreement orally, prior to signing a written agreement? Any agreement is "verbal"? Unless the agreement is in hand gestures, some words must be used. Obviously, this defendant and "holistic health counselor' (is that, like, a "whore"?) is cooperating with the federal authorities.

The U.S. attorney is interested in the New Jersey-based organization sponsoring child porn and prostitution, enjoying mafia and political protection for decades in that foul-smelling turf. No, Ms. Hollander could not be a whore because whores in New Jersey are required to pass a bar examination. All exceptions granted.

"The woman, Tanya Hollander, 36, is the fourth defendant to accept a plea deal in connection with the service, the Emperor's Club V.I.P. The head of the agency, Mark Brenner, 62, pleaded guilty in June to prostitution and money laundering charges." (emphasis added)

Senator Bob is getting nervous. Senator Bob, allegedly, passed a bar examination.

"Cecil Suwal, 23, the woman who ran its day-to-day operations, admitted to similar charges on June 3. Temeka Rachelle Lewis, 32, the agency's chief booker, acknowledged her role at the service in May."

In a state where Superior Court judgeships are purchased for about $25,000 in contributions, allegedly, the people specializing in interstate traffic of young women and men have it made. Did you fellas in New Jersey realize that travelling accross state lines to enter someone's home, illegally, in order to assault a person, also illegally -- who is subjected to hypnosis -- is a federal offense? Did you "fully appreciate" the consequences of a "conspiracy to violate civil rights" that transcends state boundaries? Or of another conspiracy to cover up such heinous criminality? Does your rule book suggest, John, that these are "ethics infractions" when New Jersey attorneys indulge in them? Allegedly.

Linkage of the words "attorneys" and "New Jersey" may give rise to a sense of disgust in the reader -- especially any reader who is both a New Jersey resident and an honest lawyer as opposed to, say, Anne Milgram or Stuart Rabner.

"All three are awaiting sentencing."

"Mr. Spitzer resigned as governor on March 12, two days after his involvement with the ring was disclosed. It remains unclear whether federal prosecutors intend to bring charges against him."

I suspect the feds prefer to obtain cooperation from Mr. Spitzer since they have stumbled upon the cesspool of corruption that is New Jersey, where 200 convicts are in the pooper scooper already. Many more malfeasors are on their way to club fed. Child molesters and pimps within the legal profession and (probably) the judiciary are next.

In response to the mysterious vandalism of one of my essays yesterday, I have decided to prepare a lengthy profile of George E. Norcross, III. I expect to raise new and disturbing questions concerning Mr. Rabner's actions -- and inactions -- during his service as New Jersey Attorney General.

"So far, of the three defendants to plead guilty, only Ms. Lewis has signed an agreement with the government obliging her to testify before a grand jury that is still investigating the prostitution ring's operations."

The feds want some more of the mafia guys and politicians in New Jersey's legal circles and judiciary. This prostitution scandal is like glue paper, plenty of the Jersey Boys are stuck on it.

"Ms. Hollander's lawyer, Michael C. Farkas, would not say whether she also will be asked to testify as part of her plea deal."

Meanwhile, back at the ranch ...

"... The board voted unanimously on Monday to suspend the leader, Carla Katz, and the governing board of Local 1034, contending that there had been financial malpractice and suppression of dissent among the local's 16,000 members, 10,000 of whom are state workers." (emphasis added)

Thievery? Is this the "ethics in government" promised by Mr. Corzine, the "alleged" lover of and negotiator with, Ms. Katz? Are these people governing and judging us in New Jersey or as Americans? Are these persons our self-professed "ethical superiors"?

"It is also said that she spent union money without oversight from the local's officers or board."

If you are a New Jersey teacher, cop, firefighter, or government clerk, that could be your money that is being "spent."

"... including more than $700,000 in political campaign contributions [Senator Bob?] made between October 2005 and May 2008; threatened a dissident member's employment and engaged in other retaliatory conduct; and failed to keep time records to show what she was doing as the local's president."

I wonder whether those campaign contributions were deposited in the Democratic party's (or the Senator's!) "non-federal account"? Is there any truth to the rumor that a grand jury (or two) is about to indict Senator Bob? I can't wait to find out. I wonder why I am struggling against so much harassment today?

Carla's and Corzine's Soap Opera in New Jersey!

July 15, 2008 at 7:04 P.M. numerous essays were vandalized again. This is at least the fiftieth time that I have made an identical correction to my Schopenhauer essay. Interestingly, the "error" is not found in my printed versions of the essay. Tom Hester, Jr., "Jon's Axed Union Gal Strikes Back," in The New York Post, July 12, 2008, at p. 18.

Images have been blocked at Critique today. Other harassment must be expected. July 14, 2008 at 9:51 A.M. (Bastille Day!)

"Carla Katz, the ousted chief of New Jersey's state worker union, filed a federal lawsuit yesterday against the Communications Workers of America, charging that the national group wrongfully booted her."

"The lawsuit alleges the CWA violated its constitution and federal labor laws by removing Katz, Gov. Jon Corzine's former girlfriend, along with the executive board of CWA local 1034 on Monday."

Corzine had spread all kinds of money on Ms. Katz -- like K-y Jelly! -- paying for mortgages and other goodies for his "partner in negotiations concerning union matters." No conflict of interest was seen by these highly ethical persons. Ms. Katz clearly prevailed in those negotiations. However, it was Corzine who was smiling at the Governor's mansion. I wonder why?

Deborah T. Poritz may have been involved in a sexual relationship with Diana Lisa Riccioli who is alleged to have provided the former New Jersey Chief Justice with sexual partners, presumably some of those women were conscious and consented to these "relationships." These entanglements were not disclosed at the time that Marilyn was subjected to hypnosis and drugging, right Diana? ("Terry Tuchin, Diana Lisa Riccioli, and New Jersey's Agency of Torture" and "Deborah T. Poritz and Conduct Unbecoming to the Judiciary in New Jersey.")

"The national union claimed Katz and the board engaged in fiscal malpractice and suppression of dissent within the 16,000-member local." (emphasis added)

The amount of mafia influence in this union, if any, is not reported in the press. Most labor unions have a colorful history in New Jersey, whose radioactive cranberry fields were the home of the late and unlamented Jimmy Hoffa.

"The complaint -- filed not only by Katz but by 13 other local 1034 officials -- asks a judge to prohibit the national union from taking over the local [and] to restore Katz and other officials to their positions. It also asks the judge to schedule a 'full and fair' hearing on the CWA's charges against Katz and the 1034 board."

$470,000 for Carla from Corzine, lots of ... "friendship" for Corzine from Carla. Isn't she just as cute as a bug's ear? This "exchange" took place while the principals were negotiating for their respective interests. No conflict of interest? These are my "ethical superiors"?

Sexual shenanigans between Governors and judges -- usually involving younger subordinates -- is nothing new in New Jersey. Jim McGreevey's disgraceful and corrupt affair with an unqualified Israeli sailor demonstrates that much. The exact relationship between Debbie Poritz and female "underlings" or "law clerks" is not known. Rumors concerning such matters have circulated for years. Anne Milgram? Diana? Any thoughts "ladies"?

Perhaps this "proclivity" on the part of Poritz explains Trenton's continuing cover-up of the Tuchin/Riccioli torture scandal. (See again: "Terry Tuchin, Diana Lisa Riccioli, and New Jersey's Agency of Torture" and "What is it like to be tortured?")

Each day that the cover-up continues is a renewal of my tortures. Lawyers always said that you did better arguing before Poritz if you brought along an attractive young woman to smile at then "Chief Justice" Poritz. Perhaps a photo of such a young woman would not have been blocked at my group today. The words "Chief Justice" associated with someone like Poritz makes you wanna puke, doesn't it? ("Trenton's Nasty Lesbian Love-Fest!")

"The lawsuit asks a judge to prevent CWA officials 'from overthrowing the democratically elected leaders of the local' and from seizing control of the local from its members based upon erroneous, distorted and vindictive allegations."

"CWA spokesman Bob Master said the national union stands by its actions."

"... A July 3 report by Larry Cohen, national Communications Workers of America president, found 'a clear and ongoing pattern' of fiscal wrongdoing by Katz." (emphasis added)

"Fiscal wrongdoing" may be unethical. Allegedly, the millions from Corzine wasn't enough for Carla. Carla likes the bucks, huh? This does sound like a Jersey story. Geez.

"Katz is also embroiled in a fight in state courts to stop e-mails between her and Corzine and his staff from being disclosed. The e-mails were exchanged during state worker contract talks."

Wouldn't it be great if all the posts at the old The Philosophy Cafe at MSN were made public? I kept quite a few print outs. Any more "errors" you want to insert today, boys and girls?

A Despicable Policy.

The Post is a great "Gee Whiz!" newspaper. It is designed to get your attention on the way to wherever you're going in the morning. There's always a babe in a scantily clad state, usually on page 5. This is a plus in any news publication that seeks (and achieves) intellectual respectability through reflecting our most serious concerns in life. Irony? "That's sexism!"

Unlike the Times -- which I read every day -- the Post is hysterically funny. The editorial staff at this tabloid is unaware of just how funny the paper happens to be on a daily basis thanks to their stupidity. The most absurd items are attempts at profound analysis of complex events or international politics. I will now examine an editorial entitled: "A Despicable Enemy," in the New York Post, July 12, 2008, at p. 20:

"... the army revealed that it had identified the remains of two US soldiers taken captive in Iraq."
There is very little reflection on how we got into this mess in Iraq. There is no discussion in the editorial of what events preceded these tragic occurrences -- which are certainly not laughable! -- even if the analysis and explanation offered by commentators is, obviously, ridiculous. Typical comments in the New York Post sound like this: "They just killed our guys because those little brown people are weird and mean. Let's go and kick some ass. Didn't they have something to do with 9/11? They all look alike to me."

This is a statement also heard, pretty regularly, on the streets of New York. The sentiment is forgivable among persons who have lost a great deal because of 9/11 and who lack the education to appreciate all the complexities on the ground in the Middle East or the "geopolitical" considerations in the area. The identical "thought" is unforgivable among self-described "pundits."

"Pfc. Byron Founty, 19, and Queens-born Sgt. Alex Jimenez 25, were captured last May after heavy fighting in Iraq's then explosive Sunni Triangle."

"The body of a third captured GI, Pfc. Joseph Anzak Jr., was found not long afterward -- but Jimenez and Fouty's families held out hope for their return."

"Until now."

This sort of incident will become more (not less) common in the days and weeks ahead. There is a pent-up fury in Iraq, also in the entire Middle East -- and elsewhere -- in the aftermath of the Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo images of torture. This fury has been building up for several years. Dangerous fury is what Americans can expect to encounter most places in the world. There have already been incidents of Americans captured alive and tortured, sometimes for days, before being killed. Ironically, the tortures have mirrored the events in the infamous prisons that have identified America with atrocity in many places in the world. (See "The Torture of Persons" and for my views on 9/11, see "9/11: Philosophy in the Language of Wounds.")

Everything being done to America's detainees has been and will be done to U.S. soldiers. Still think the torture of detainees is a good idea? I ask that you repeat this sentence to yourself, slowly: "Someone with millions of dollars and highly intelligent assistance is thinking at this moment of how to kill you and many other Americans, while destroying a symbol of American freedom, even as that terrorist has a picture of the U.S. torture victims in his or her mind, every day."

How about now? Do you still think psychological torture is a good idea? I don't. You can't intimidate people into lying about these things. Torture is evil and stupid. People need freedom. Whether they are said or not, they will remain true for the foreseeable future. The risks to U.S. interests and American lives right now are astronomical. They will increase if this discussion does not take place. These things must be said, not by the morons in the so-called "elite" publications, but by us. Americans must take this debate into the public square, electronic or otherwise. This is about your childrens' lives.

"Captured Americans in Iraq have been subject to all kinds of torture -- including public beheading -- in the furthering of militants' sick propaganda aims."

Why do you not see those pictures or videos of beheadings on American news stations? Do you think it would have a "negative impact" on support for the war? Or the opposite? Do you believe that threatening me is an answer to what I am saying? Do you believe, for one moment, that I can be intimidated at this point in my life? I don't think so.

Within the next ten years, there will be multiple attacks against U.S. targets aimed at causing the maximum number of American casualties. These attacks will arise not only in the Middle East, also in Latin America and elsewhere -- including the "homefront." Americans will be tortured and sexually violated, videos of such atrocities will find their way on to the Internet and covers of magazines -- even as Americans will, mostly, not care all that much nor will they allow these events to interfere with their television viewing habits. This editorial comes to exactly the wrong -- if predictable -- conclusion. The people we are fighting against are "demonic." End of analysis.

I agree. They are evil. Why are they doing these things? Does it have something to do with the images of hideous tortures and callous indifference, together with the failure of America's tainted legal system to redress these wrongs? (See "Habeas Corpus" and "Meditatio ad Malum et Caritas")

The same newspapers appearing yesterday contain accounts of the death of a woman who sat in a hopital waiting room for more than 24 hours, died, was allowed to remain on the floor as "health care workers" stepped over her body, even as falsified reports indicated that her blood pressure was fine. Meanwhile, a young woman committed suicide because her account of a date rape was dismissed by cops -- probably in New Jersey -- who could not be bothered to investigate plausible accusations of torture. (See "Would you have helped Kitty Genovese?")

One would have to be a complete imbecile or a member of New Jersey's Supreme Court (redundancy?) to fail to see that these are revealing demonstrations of a decline in the moral quality and intelligence of our culture -- that is, a diminution in ourselves -- as a people abandoning their core principles of justice and decency. The "society of the spectacle" is just not very good at recognizing or responding to tragedy. Social autism has come to define us as an amusement-addicted people. We are growing more brutal, unfeeling, selfish, cruel and stupid. We are receiving exactly these qualities in response to our treatment of others in the world. It is not that we are shallow or insensitive, but it is OUR pride in these qualities that most offends people everywhere in the world. I am speaking of us, collectively, as a nation. We have to do something about this decline. Humility is a two-way street.

"Hegel rhymes with bagel," right? Let's burn the Koran. Let's torture Arabs. "We can learn from them."

Perhaps the "enemy" is a "behaviorist" seeking to condition us into a "greater awareness of others and more sensitivity to their needs." Psychobabble and entertainment-talk makes up the contents of people's minds. Genuine psychology, science, or other scholarship and media aesthetics is non-existent. "Philosophy is too hard to understand!" -- morons at The Philosophy Cafe said this to me. Yeah, philosophy is too abstract. The brilliant Post editorialist drew the worst conclusion:

"It also gives the lie to the claim that America somehow loses its 'moral standing' by, say, keeping terrorists locked up at Guantanamo Bay."

We do lose our moral standing by committing these crimes. No one is a "terrorist" who has not been convicted of the offense in a real trial, not a farce. Most people in U.S. custody in those hellish prisons have not been accorded minimal due process, after years of horrible tortures and confinement. Tit-for-tat is not going to work in this struggle against global terrorism, except that it will work against us. We better wake up and smell the napalm.
